Jo Rowling fills in some of the blanks in the epilogue for her fans.

Chelsea: In the end … you tell us that Neville is a professor at Hogwarts. What do-- Harry, Hermione, and Ron do?

J.K. Rowling: Harry and Ron utterly revolutionized the Auror Department in-- at the Ministry of Magic. So they-- I mean, they are now the consummate-- they are experts. It doesn't matter how old they are or what else they've done.

So Harry and Ron lead the way in recreating the new Auror Department. And by the time-- 19 years later -- I would imagine that Harry is heading up that department, which is not corrupt in any way. It's-- it's a really good place to be. And Hermione … I think she's now pretty high up in the Department for Magical Law Enforcement.

Where I would imagine that her brainpower and-- and her knowledge of how the dark arts operate would really give her a, you know, a sound grounding. So they're all at the ministry but it's a very new ministry. They made a new world.

Meredith Vieira: You did leave it open for the possibility because in the epilogue there's Harry and Hermione and Ron and they have their children and--

J.K. Rowling: But not-- I didn't really leave it open for that reason. I didn't write the epilogue thinking, "Right. Let's set the stage for another set of books for the next generation." It-- it was just-- I wanted to show that life went on. And that even where there had been deaths, you know, there would be life and so on.

Finding 3: Next Generation_Children of Harry Potter and Ginny Potter

James Sirius Potter

James Sirius Potter was the oldest child of Harry and Ginny Potter. His godparents, as well as uncle and aunt, are Ron and Hermione Weasley. He has two younger siblings: Albus and Lily. James was named after his paternal grandfather, James Potter, and his father's godfather, Sirius Black.

James is much like his uncle, Ron, for his poor timing and knack for interfering with other people's love lives. He also seems to have inherited his sense of humour and love for mischief from his two uncles, Fred and George, and having a fondness for teasing his siblings and making mischief. He is also very much like his two namesakes, James Potter and Sirius Black, in his mischievous and trouble-making nature.

Albus Severus Potter

Albus Severus "Al" Potter (b. between 1 September, 2005 and 31 August, 2006) was a half-blood wizard and the second son of Harry and Ginny Potter. Albus is the middle of three children, born at least a year after his older brother, James, and two years before his younger sister Lily. He was named in honour of Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape.

Albus takes after his father in appearance, meaning that he has untidy hair, and has bright green, almond-shaped eyes. He was the only one of Harry's three children to have inherited his paternal grandmother's eye shape and colour. Unlike his rowdy, outgoing older brother, Albus seems to be a quiet and thoughtful boy. He is marked by insecurity and seems to have an especially close relationship with his father. He sometimes doesn't understand why people stare at his father and finds it very interesting when they do.

Lily Luna Potter

Lily Luna Potter (born between 1 September, 2007 and 31 August, 2008) was the only daughter and the youngest child of Harryand Ginny Potter (née Weasley). She had two older brothers; James Sirius and Albus Severus. She was named for her paternal grandmother and also her parents' good friend, Luna Lovegood.

Lily is described as having red hair. It is known that Lily does not have green eyes, as Albus is the only child with that physical trait. Lily takes after mostly her maternal family (and her paternal grandmother) in looks, rather than her older brothers, who take after their paternal family.Lily's middle name is Luna, after Luna Lovegood, and possibly Remus Lupin, as Luna is Latin for moon, and Lupin's nickname was Moony.

Finding 4: Next Generation_Children of Ronald Weasley and Hermione Weasley

Rose "Rosie" Weasley

Rose "Rosie" Weasley (born c. 2006) was a half-blood witch and the daughter of Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger. She had a younger brother named Hugo who was born about two years after her. She began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 2017, the same time as Scorpius Malfoy, and, being a Weasley, may have been Sorted into Gryffindor.

Hugo Weasley

Hugo Weasley (c. 2007) was a half-blood wizard and the youngest child of Ronald and Hermione Weasley. He had an older sister named Rose and attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, possibly with his cousin, Lily Potter. As a Weasley, it is likely Hugo was Sorted into Gryffindor, but this is unknown.

Hugo Weasley was born in late 2007 or early 2008 to a pure-blood father and a Muggle-born mother. He is about two years younger than his sister Rose, and around the same age as his cousin Lily Potter, daughter of Harryand Ginny Potter, and the two seem to be quite close. In 2017, he accompanied his parents to see off his sister and Potter cousins toHogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hugo and Lily shared an eagerness to go to Hogwarts, despite both of them being too young. The two had "an animated discussion about which House they would be sorted into when they finally went to Hogwarts" at King's Cross Station.

Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy

Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy (born c. 2006) was a pure-blood wizard and the son of Draco and Astoria Malfoy (née Greengrass). He was a classmate of Rose Weasley and Albus Potter. Scorpius has inherited his father Draco's physical traits, meaning that he has blond hair, grey eyes, and a pale, pointed face. He is noted for looking almost the same as his father did at age eleven. He is said to resemble Draco as much as Albus Potter resembled Harry Potter.

Victoire Delacour Weasley

Victoire Weasley (born on 2 May, circa 2000 or 2001) was a part-Veela witch and the eldest child of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour. She has two younger siblings: a sister, Dominique, and a brother,Louis. Through her maternal great-grandmother, Victoire is one-eighthVeela. It is possible she lived at Shell Cottage with her family.

Dominique Delacour Weasley

Dominique Weasley is the second daughter, and middle child, of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour. She has an older sister,Victoire, and a younger brother, Louis.

Louis Weasley is the youngest child, and only son, of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour. He has two elder sisters, Victoire and Dominique. It is possible Louis lived at Shell Cottage with his family.Louis is the only known male with Veela blood. Whether he has any characteristics of a Veela is unknown.

Ted "Teddy" Lupin

Ted Remus "Teddy" Lupin (b. April of 1998), was the first and only child and son of Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks. He was a Metamorphmagus like his mother, as was shown when his hair changed colour all the time as a baby (including at least twice from black to ginger and from an unknown colour to turquoise). He was named after Nymphadora's father, Ted Tonks, who was killed shortly before his birth, and his father Remus who was killed during the Battle of Hogwarts. Harry Potter was named as his godfather.Teddy did not inherit his father's lycanthropy, and thus was not a werewolf. He was, however, a metamorphmagus, like his mother.

J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life is a documentary filmed by James Runcie. The film follows J. K. Rowling over the course of a year as she completes work on the last Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The documentary also includes extensive interviews with Rowling, as well as clips of her promoting Deathly Hallows and at the launch.

The documentary was screened in the United Kingdom on Sunday December 30th 2007, on channel ITV and on Seven Network in Australia on July 13th, 2008. It was also aired on the ABC Television Network in America on Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 8-9pm (ET), the weekend of the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (film).^[1]
